Mark D'Amico


Mark D’Amico is a Professor of Higher Education at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. His research occurs at the intersection of community college student success and workforce development.  He is a Past-President of the Council for the Study of Community Colleges and former Associate Editor of Community College Review.

Prior to his faculty role, Mark served as Executive Assistant to the President for Policy and Administration with South Carolina Technical College System, Executive Assistant to the President at Midlands Technical College, Associate and Interim Director of Admissions at Francis Marion University, and Assistant Director of Admissions at UNC Charlotte.  He holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Teaching (Higher Education) from UNC Greensboro, an M.A. in Liberal Studies from UNC Charlotte, and a B.A. in Arts and Humanities and a B.S. in Business Administration from Gannon University.
